Hello everybody!
I know we're all a little bit sad somewhere inside of us for the end of Summer, but I hope you're all having as fun and exciting a school year as I am! I've been busy finding a way to contact the many GSA's surrounding the area so we can have an even bigger and more diverse Youth Pride Fest than we did last year. We're going to be kicking up the activity on the website, Twitter, and Facebook page, so make sure you follow us, like us, and keep up to date on all that is going on! Here on the blog, we are also going to try and post about big events and accomplishments the LGBTQ+ community has worked for! Don't forget that next week is Ally Week and make sure the friends that support you know how much their support means to you! Thank you! -YPF Student Admin

I am sure many of you are anticipating this Friday as much as we are! The Day of Silence, as many of you probably know, is one of the largest student-led events in the LGBT community! Whether your school decides to school-wide sponsor it or not, many of us are STILL going to participate and our friends will either admire us, or be jealous of us for our strength. They will wish that they could stand up for what they believe in and love the fact that we are going to go a whole day without speaking in honor of what we believe in. We at Youth Pride Fest tip our hats to everybody who joins us in the Day of Silence this Friday! You can register for the Day of Silence on the GLSEN website here: http://action.glsen.org/page/s/day-of-silence-2013 |
